Hello,
My name is Anna Lee Dunphy and I was born at 6:41am May 17 on my due date
and weighed in at 7.0lbs, 22 inches, and my labor lasted approx 7 hours
start to finish. I have a full head of dark hair and spent much of my
first day looking around. It was a big thrill to finally be born.
I did notice that my mom and dad managed to get in a couple of games
of cribbage and took a 1 hour nap before resuming my final phase of labor.
My dad has given me a UNIX shell account which I can't stand. I think that
windows is much better! Saying this apparently doesn't make him very happy.
Oh well he will have to get use to it because thats the way it is going to
be. I am the boss now and my mom and dad will soon learn this.
Sincerely,
Anna Lee
and my family
Jim, Betsy, and Mike (dog)
PS.
I am still working on my web page so it isn't quite ready quite yet
because my dad insists on making me use UNIX. It will be
http://www.aesir.com/aesir/staff/AnnaDunphy.html when it is ready.
Here are some of the responses I received back on my first emailing!
Dear Anna Lee,
Congratulations on your birth! I think you are a very lucky girl cause
your parents are nice, and smart too.
I know they are probably bored to tears by now, as I'm sure you are just
the perfect baby. In fact, I'll bet they are thinking about making a little
brother or sister for you as soon as possible!! Please tell them
congratulations for me!!
Hope to meet you soon....Your friend,
Steve Jobes
Anna,
We are so happy you are here and healthy. It sounds like you already know
how to communicate with Mommy and Daddy. Remember, you will always be
Daddy's little girl. Therefore, you should start right now, I mean today,
and ask Daddy for the credit cards and any spare change he might have.
Also, practice these 3 letters....MIT. I understand tuition will be around
$50,000 a year or more when you get there. This is good because Mommy will
have to keep working on our websites to pay for it all. Well I am sure you
have had an exciting first day, so I will let you sleep for a while.
Ed
P.S. It is never to early to get started on this simple interest
calculations.
Anna Lee,
Congratulations on your birth. I'm sure
you will grow and develop well over the next
few years. I know you will enjoy your bottles,
mushy food and your first few steps on your
own two feet over the next year.
I'm certain your parents will take good care of
you and train you in all things technical.
Welcome to the world!
I hope to make your acquaintance some time
soon.

Congratulations! 7 hours AND a game of cribbage! Wow!
7.0 lbs on the nose. Now _that's_ the precision I expect from technicians.
Say good bye to good night's sleep.
Betsy, I think it's just wonderful that you and Jim have brought a glowing, heal
thy baby girl into this world. Hats off to you.
All the best from Alison, Britton, Connor, and me.
Mike
Congratulations!!!! To both Anna Lee and Mom & Dad. That's fantastic
news. Hope Anna and Mom are doing well. Let us know when we can come
visit. We're so happy for all of you.
